Cultivating Wellness: Sports Week Exercise Programme for Kothmale West Officers

As part of the national Sports Week initiatives, the Kothmale West Divisional Secretariat successfully organized a special health and exercise programme for its staff members on October 1, 2025.

In the demanding world of public service, maintaining physical fitness and mental well-being is crucial. Recognizing this, the Secretariat initiated this programme to encourage a healthier, more active lifestyle among our officers, promoting workplace wellness and camaraderie.

A Collaborative Effort in Sports Development

A highlight of the event was the spirit of inter-divisional collaboration. We were privileged to have the expert guidance of the Sports Officer from the Kothmale East Divisional Secretariat Division, who served as the resource person for the day.

The session was carefully curated to suit all fitness levels, focusing on:

  • Cardiovascular health and rejuvenating physical exercises.
  • Ergonomic stretches to relieve desk-work fatigue and stress.
  • Valuable insights on incorporating simple daily routines to maintain long-term physical wellness.

Our officers participated with great enthusiasm, stepping away from their daily administrative duties to invest time in their personal health and well-being.

Commitment to a Healthier Workforce

The Kothmale West Divisional Secretariat believes that a healthy workforce is the backbone of efficient public service. This Sports Week programme successfully underscored the message that physical fitness directly enhances productivity, positivity, and service delivery.

"We extend our sincere gratitude to the Sports Officer of Kothmale East for their invaluable resource contribution, and we thank all our officers whose active participation made this wellness initiative a resounding success."
