The inaugural Divisional Agricultural Committee (DAC)
meeting of the Kotmale West Divisional Secretariat was successfully held on June
17, 2025, at the Divisional Secretariat premises.
This milestone meeting brought together key agricultural
officers, agrarian service representatives, and relevant stakeholders of the
area. The primary objective of the session was to discuss the development of
the local agricultural sector, address challenges faced by farming communities,
and effectively plan upcoming agricultural projects and food production
initiatives within the Kotmale West division.
The successful implementation of this first committee meeting
marks a significant step forward in strengthening the rural economy and
ensuring sustainable agricultural development in the region.
